VivAmérica Ready for 2008 and get ready to enjoy ...
• More than 60 guests from Latin America established in disciplines such as literature, film, visual arts, drama, dance, music and cuisine.
· Round tables disciplinary and interdisciplinary discussions, master classes and ethnic encounters political discussion spaces that allow the public to hear the views of the guests and participate in specialized academic workshops.
· Galas of poetry, theater performances, film festivals, concerts, art exhibitions and gastronomic routes shown as representative of Latin American culture and English.
• A great concert stock known as The Walk, held simultaneously in Bogotá, Madrid and Santa Cruz Tenerife and in which four carriages transported to popular music performers in the region by the most central of the three cities.
Meet some of the guests at VivAmérica Festival 2008 which will be in Bogota ...
· Héctor Abad, author of Garbage, The Narrow and forget that we, among other books that have become one of the most important writers of Colombia.
· The Argentine Martin Caparros, Marcelo Birmajer, Ariel Magnus and Mario Muchnik, the English Lucia Etxebarria, Colombians Andres Burgos, Juan Diego Mejia and Sergio Roberto Mosquera and Venezuelan Echeto.
· Ricardo Silva, Andrés Neuman, Wendy Guerra, Iván Thays, Guadalupe Nettel and Jorge Volpi, writers who were part of Bogotá39 group and were in January 2008 in the Mapfre Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias.
· The poets Norberto Codina, Luis García Montero, Cristina Rivera, Maria Rivera, Juan Manuel Roca, Cecilia Roman.
• Some of the most recognized Latin American filmmakers in the world, as Bruno Barreto, Felipe Aljure, Pavel Giroud, Luis Ospina, Oscar Campo and Rodrigo Triana, as well as Luciano Coehlo and Julian Hernandez, who will present their work in Cycle Pink Film Festival.
· Jaime Borja, José Alejandro Restrepo and Angel Valdez will be part of the activities related to arts and Arturo Garrido, Oswaldo Marchionda, Martha Ospina Leosmedez Ossa and those related to dance.
• The drama will be represented by the Brazilian Cultural Caravan Productions, Company of Argentina Enrique Federman, Ileana Diéguez Mexico, Alex Rigola of Spain, and Fabio Rubiano and Christopher Pelaez, with Matacandelas Theater Collective, and Colombia.
· All the flavor of Colombian and English cuisine will be presented by three experts on the subject: Leonor Espinosa, Harry Sasson and Daniel Vázquez Sallés.
VivAmérica closures will take place in style. Sunday 12 October, just when Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas, makes 516 years, will perform the march, a concert that will start rolling in the National Park (Cr 7 with cl 39), at 11:00 am, and bringing together the senior from San Jacinto, the English singer Rosario, Ille Aiye (Brazil ) and La Maldita Vecindad (Mexico) in a parade graced by his best songs and accompanied by the top 20 parades in the city. VivAmérica is an initiative of the Casa de América, a consortium composed of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Community of Madrid and the city of Madrid.
